Frequently Asked Questions About iServe (FAQ)

What is the Culture of iServe?

iServe is a company where the company combines the intimacy of a network of local area branches and offices with the direct and close of senior management. People enjoy small office environments in cities as diverse as San Diego, CA, Murfreesboro, TN, Chesapeake, VA, Reno Nevada and Stamford, CT, just outside New York City, among others. Our employees create  the collaborative culture, along with co-workers and supportive management; people they trust.

iServe benefits from a diverse employee base who stay, and at times return to iServe after pursuing other opportunities, because of the informal environment, opportunities to grow and advance, and access .

It’s often been quoted that people “feel like family” here, support each other, yet have the opportunity to contribute in each’s own unique style, to develop their own “brand”. Many say they feel they are “on a mission together”.

People at iServe generally have a “can-do” attitude. Efforts are rewarded and promoted through regular Employee Spotlights and acknowledgements. It is a place where people enjoy coming to work, and a unique work/life balance in fostering their career.

Is There Access to Senior Executives of iServe When Needed?

A hallmark of our company, one created by the owners and senior management, is an open door policy. Everyone in the company is a phone call or email away from every department and all senior management. It is part of our spirit of inclusiveness, and mutual support.

This also says that everyone has a voice- a say- in the way we operate. iServe is truly a company where access creates two-way communication among all our employees that expedites, advises and continually improves our company -  every day.

What is the Financial Condition of the Company?

The iServe family of companies- parent company National Asset Direct, iServe Residential Lending, iDirect Home Loans, and iSREO, our real estate group, were established by long-time mortgage industry veterans and experienced Wall Street financial professionals.

The ownership group of iServe’ s parent company is a partnership controlled by Ralph DellaCamera, a highly-regarded Wall Street veteran, Andrew Kurtz, an attorney and Wall Street portfolio manager and Vice Spinnato, a CPA and long-time Wall Street analyst.

Executives leading the lending group include longtime mortgage industry veterans and Co-CEOs Doug Wilson and Ken Michael, along with President and Chief Operating Officer, Mike Wilson.

The company is well-capitalized, with no debt, and a large pool of warehouse credit available to significantly grow. The company maintains preferred relationships with many investors who seek to purchase its loan files on closing and funding due to the company’s reputation for clean, complete and financially-attractive files. We strive to close loans “on time, every time”.

Management and the company’s Capital Markets function make well-informed decisions daily, based on market conditions, research, analysis and experience. Its plethora and diversity of mortgage products allows the company to meet the needs of most qualified consumers and borrowers, educating them in these most important financial decisions.

Do You Have Processing and Underwriting In-House?

Yes. Most branches and offices have loan processors and company-employed  underwriters located right in their offices- steps away from our loan officers. This provides our loan officers and their customers with quick, almost immediate access to processors and underwriters for status updates, answering questions and overall communications- right up to approvals, closings and funding.

Approvals and closings take place in a matter of days and weeks, most in thirty days or less from application to closing, rather than the extended cycles of much-larger, less nimble competitors.

Our on-line 1003 application currently being rolled-out process further expedites the process early on, with applications that take less than an hour to initiate, producing paperless transactions and interfacing directly and electronically with our processors and underwriters.

What Technologies Do You Deploy at iServe?

End to end, iServe is migrating to a truly technology-based financial services firm. From updated websites with robo-advisors and bot respondents, digital marketing to enhanced data-capturing landing pages; on-line applications, fully-automated LOS and pricing systems, operations dashboards, out-of-office text and email communications and fully-integrated accounting systems, iServe is meeting the challenges of a twenty-first century mortgage leader.

Can You Discuss the Marketing and Public Relations Efforts at iServe?

iServe believes in hitting a wide outreach of efforts for branding and lead generation.

We maintain attractive, easy-to-navigate websites through our partner agencies and in-house capabilities, regularly sharing blog content and industry insights web-wide. We deploy a strong local and national PR effort serving the areas in which we operate, and a diverse social media presence across a number of channels.

Internally, we produce regular all-company communiques and updates, Employee Spotlights and a variety of video communications which we share with the world as well. Links to many videos are available for sharing, as is our company-wide quarterly newsletter- “The Eye”.

Direct mail, email and digital marketing campaigns are regular marketing outreach areas. Additionally, iServe is investing in paid search and targeted pay-per-click campaigns to drive leads and loans. We deliver loan information to mobile devices and text messaging systems. We use metrics to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns on a regular frequent basis.

In several areas, network and cable TV advertising, radio, print and other channels feature iServe-branded media campaigns.

Do You Have a CRM System and Database?

Absolutely.  Unify is a robust CRM/lead management system that assists loan officers in staying in front of their clients and referral partners. With a marketing library that contains emails, product and service flyers, open house flyers and even direct mail pieces, you can promote yourself and iServe to your past clients, current prospects and real estate agents. The system has over 700 email/flyer marketing campaigns, over 300 direct mail campaigns, holiday campaigns, several options for open house flyers with and without payments that will pull in the listing info directly from the MLS, all at the touch of a button. All fliers and direct mail pieces have the option to be co-branded with any of your realtor contacts.

Any leads you may get through Zillow or other lead sources can be pulled in directly through your computer within Unify. Once leads are imported to your system, you can set-up automatic campaigns to go out.

Unify has some great features to alert you when a past client has listed their home for sale. Unify is an easy-to-use self-managed CRM that top producers use to increase their results on a regular basis. Our Corporate Marketing Department supports LOs and users as needed.

What Can You Offer an Entire Branch That Wants to Join iServe?

Freedom. Support. And the ability to create your own brand as you see fit.

iServe recognizes that many branches have their own “cultures”, their own way of operating, born perhaps over many years of a group working together. We believe in allowing branches the freedom to operate and manage their operations accordingly.

With this comes the support all LOs receive from iServe. Operations assistance, marketing and CRM support, local area press, branch websites, individual LO websites, branch and individual LO Facebook pages; VA Lending Seminars, personalized CRM system usage, access to our National Recruiter and the full support of iServe are cornerstones of iServe’s “Value add” to our branches and LOs.

Is it True You Have a Real Estate Division at iServe?

Based in San Diego, CA, iSREO maintains nearly 1,250 properties around the country, a database of thousands of realtors having sold over $2 Billion of real estate over the last several years. In addition, the company is increasing its acquisition of properties and pools for resale through a searchable on-line database it has created, as well as through 1:1 real estate transactions with over 2,500 qualified realtors in its nationwide network.

Loan officer training is usually done at the branch level, with managers taking primary responsibility for the programs and subject matter for training.
